Echinacea

Incredibly inviting to both bees and butterflies, with attractive pink petals that droop beneath a spiny conical core. The flowers and leaves are edible, though difficult to recommend for their taste alone. Fresh or dried, and best blended with more palatable flavours, they are most commonly consumed as teas and tinctures to boost the immune system against bouts of cold or flu.
