Yarrow

This medicinal herb is a great companion plant, attracting ladybirds and hoverflies as well as improving soil conditions. Raw flowers have a strong, bitter flavour similar to sage and are often made into a tea or used in place of hops when brewing beer. If dried, blooms can be used as a spice that works particularly well with shellfish and curries.
